Abstract | Full Text

In this article I make a brief overview of women’s access to and struggle for education at the end of the nineteenth and the beginning of the twentieth centuries. The aim of this overview is to set the general background for the large participation of women students and researchers in the activities of the Bucharest Sociological School founded and coordinated by Dimitrie Gusti in the 1920s and 1930s.
