Abstract

This study is about Ahmet Taşğın’s doctoral thesis, published in Turkmen Alevis in Diyarbakır. The study was conducted on Alevi villages located in Diyarbakır center, Bismil and Çınar districts. Their numbers in Diyarbakır and its surroundings, where Turkmen Alevis have existed for a long time, have decreased almost to zero. Relatives of Diyarbakır Turkmen Alevis are settled in Mosul and surrounding villages. Their contact with their relatives in Mosul and its surroundings has also been cut off.
