La carrière de C. Attius Alcimus Felicianus  : remarques sur le fastigium equestre sous Gordien III

Abstract

The African inscriptions from the municipium Aurelium C[---] and Abbir Cella, relating to the career of C. Attius Alcimus Felicianus, allow us to analyze the last stages of the character's career in relation to the movements of the senior equestrian staff. The constraints linked to the Parthian expedition of Gordian III affect the operation and duties of the great Roman prefectures, that of the uigiles and that of the annona. They shed light on the peculiarities of this career when it reached this level.
