This article aims to conduct a study on the most diverse concepts of identities in British and Latin American contexts within the orbit of cultural studies. We know that identity has always been observed from different angles and that society sought to build its own cultural identity, determining certain parameters of belonging, and this construction took place through the recurrence of its history and its past. Questions about identity gained expression with political and cultural changes in recent years, transformations that were the result of emerging issues in the modern world, mainly the emergence of the concept of subject. Identity, in the meantime, is formed from various representations and meanings, resulting from various past histories. The theoretical foundation of this work is anchored in the studies of Stuart Hall(2003)and Martín-Barbero(1997), among others, which allowed it to be characterized as bibliographic with a qualitative approach.
