This paper discusses those dis- verbal compounds that frequently combine with the so-called reciprocity marker inter se. The main points at issue here are: (i) the regular Predicate Frames involved; (ii) the combination with inter se and its optional or compulsory character; and (iii) the comparison with other preverbs like com-. The final purpose of this paper is to show how the information about preverbs scattered across dictionaries can be formalised and transferred from dictionaries into grammar.
