Among facial burns, the eyelid burns constitute a challenge for plastic surgeons due to the complexity of surgical tecnics and the possibility of corneal lesions wich may bring on further complications. For this reason it is presented a clinical case study of a left upper eyelid retraction of a hypodermic burn (B) produced by a hot metal. During the same surgical act were carried out four surgical interventions with local anesthesia: left upper eyelid liberation, tarsorraphy, exeresis of retroauricular elipsis and implantation of free skin with Brown's dreesing suture. It was demonstrated by reviewed literature and the case's evolution that profund eyelid burns bring about secundary complications, among wich stand out retractions. The prevention of these burns must be the most efficient measure in the treatment. A vicious thick graft or a total skin graft are advisable.
