Abstract

The biographies of the first leaders of agricultural department of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute are the main focus of the article. Biography and activities of a prominent scientist, talented teacher, manager of an agricultural works M. Chirvinskiy are discussed. A researcher and creator of agricultural technique К. Shindler is described. The educational, scientific and organizational achievements of promirelentless work of personalities set standards for coming generations of Ukrainian scientists, stimulated education of new generations, and enriched the treasury of world knowledge.
