Thermal Coupling Analysis and Fatigue Life Prediction of Unidirectional Self-increasing Brake

To improve the light truck unidirectional self-increasing force brake of the brake performance, the finite element model of unidirectional self-increasing force brake is established, by using Abaqus software, the braking process simulation analysis of brake is carried out, a unidirectional self-increasing force brake of the axial and circumferential of the distribution of temperature field and gravitational field are got, and adopting the method of Manson-Coffin equation to predict the fatigue life of brake drum. The results show that during the whole braking process, the temperature and stress of the brake drum vary in zigzag shape, and the fatigue life of the brake drum is greatly affected by the temperature. In the process of braking, the change law of temperature field of brake drum is mainly affected by heat flux, convection heat transfer and heat conduction. The stress field of brake drum is mainly affected by the initial position and the contact between the inner surface of brake drum and the surface of friction sheet.
