Abstract

This study delves into the exploration of nominal forms of address as dynamic elements in the construction of social bonds, with a particular emphasis on their role in the subtle expression of linguistic politeness. Going beyond their mere nominative function, personal names prove to be subtle instruments of communication, revealing rich nuances in human interactions. When employed in discourse, personal names are not merely neutral designations ; instead, they are imbued with social and cultural meanings. They can be strategically used to establish closeness in relational proximity, define social roles, or mark distinctions within a group.
