Gestión de editoriales universitarias y la transferencia estratégica de conocimiento en Panamá
Abstract
The researchaims to identify a competitive management model in the management of university publishing houses and the strategic transfer of knowledge in Panama, consistent with the mission of Panamanian public universities and with the dissemination of knowledge, being the university publishing houses challenge to bring knowledge to society. The general objective focused on analyzing the management models of three public university publishing houses in Panama, in terms of their alignment with the university goals, objectives and policies, in the transfer of knowledge. A qualitative investigation was performed with the elements intended to carry out the scientific processes of induction, deduction, analysis and synthesis of the information collected. Among the data collection techniques, the observational method, applied to the three public universities that have publishing houses, and the documentary analysis predominated. The results obtained gave rise to a model that is complemented by the characteristics of university publishing houses, although the change is still needed to encourage them to create a national network of alliances, which promotes products and services, and provides the necessary support to user.
