Wavelet Denoising within the Lifting Scheme Framework

Abstract

In this paper, we consider an example of the lifting scheme and present the results of the simple lifting scheme implementation using lazy transform. The paper is tutorial-oriented. The results are obtained by testing several common test signals for the signal denoising problem and using different threshold values. The lifting scheme represents an effective and flexible tool that can be used for introducing signal dependence into the problem by improving the wavelet properties.
