Peculiarities of Functional Status of Gallbladder, Sphincter of Oddi and Motor-Evacuation Function of the Stomach in Patients with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease
Abstract
The features of functional status of gallbladder, sphincter of Oddi and motor-evacuation function of the stomach in 30 patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), combined with dysfunction of the biliary system, were studied. It was found that GERD in 63 % of patients is accompanied by dysfunction of the gallbladder predominantly of hypokinetic and hypotonic type, and in 77 % — by sphincter of Oddi dysfunction with the prevalence of its hypotonus. The duodenogastric reflux was observed in 47 % of patients with GERD and is was associated both with hypotonus of sphincter of Oddi and hypotonic-hypokinetic gallbladder dysfunction and correlated with the development of esophageal mucosa dyskeratosis. Violation of motor-evacuation function of the stomach with bradygastria and increased time of evacuation occurred in almost all patients with GERD.
