The nouchi, a junk of “street cultures” from Ivorian big cities, is associated with French to make from the literary productions of this geographical space a linguistic atlas of urban speaking for the account of a renewed poetics of genres at the ell of literary postmodernism. Of ephemeral gods, a Novel by Aka, published in 2020, is a novelistic literary creation of which the form of expression is dominated by a lexicon mainly focused on these urban-inspired speaking. This popular lexicon thus makes the bridge that links urban cultures to literature. In stylistic praxis, it can be considered like a caracteriseme of literariness, for it confers to the work its literary feature that this article studies. The current thinking tries to assess, under the overlapping angle of stylistics and sociolinguistics, the staging of urban nouchi speaking in a French speaking novelistic corpus. It deals with this self-supporting language “made in Côte d’Ivoire”, first like a destructuring speaking for the French but profitable in literary terms, and then like a purveyor of an Ivorian posmodernist literature.
