Abstract

By developing and then testing the hypothesis that there is an indirect positive link between narcissism and peer-rated prosocial behaviour through impression management motives, the current study adds to the narcissism literature. The moderating impact of interpersonal influence on the indirect relationship is also investigated in this study. In order to test a moderated mediation model and discover the relationship between narcissism and peer-rated prosocial behaviour via impression management motives, a survey was created to gather responses from 382 prospective corporate managers (Averageage = 24.29 years; SDage = 1.69 years). The mediated association was moderated by interpersonal influence.
