СREATION OF LANDSCAPE MAP USING OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE NATIONAL PARK «SMOLENSKOYE POOZERYE»)

Abstract

In landscape mapping is no single technique, so each school has its own method of creating maps. However, one of the initial operations, recognized all schools allocation is called the primary matrix – matrix or locations which latched, usually on the starting topographic map. The procedure for drawing the primary matrix is almost the same in the different schools. The central concept of the Moscow, Leningrad and Voronezh school of landscape was a «habitat», «location », tied to the uncertain form of relief. We strive to give this dimension a specific geological and geomorphological significance.
