HEALTH AND PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES IN THE RUSSIAN PRISONS: PROBLEMS RESOCIALIZATION

Abstract

Purpose: allocation of age groups condemned on serving punishment in the places of imprisonment escaping from process of resocialization within the limits of correctional facility for the reasons, connected with a various sort diseases and their treatment. Methodology: qualitative investigation (deep interview), double reflection methodology.Results: In work the basic problems of process of treatment within the limits of correctional facility, connected with mistrust condemned to medical staff of diagnostics and methods are designated. In a counterbalance of traditional representations is shown absence of group of the elderly persons condemned in the list, suffering by the diseases most widespread in corrective establishments, such as a tuberculosis, a hepatitis, a HIV, oncology, that not influence in any way processes of correction and re-education condemned the third age.Practical implications: penitential sociology, sociology penitential and postpenitential resocialization.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.12731/2218-7405-2013-9-92
