"The original sources of the knowledge of Islam are two: The Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), while the other sources are subservient to them. Hadith is the narrative describes a statement, an action or a tasit approval of the prophet (SAW). The text of Hadith consists of two parts, which are; the chain of narrators and the content. The authenticity of Hadith depends upon the authentication of the chain of the narrators as well as its content. The Science of the sciences of hadith dealing with identifying the narrators whether they are reliable or not, is called Ilm al-Jarh wa al-ta’deel. Jarh is finding deficiency whether it is in his righteousness or in his accurateness, while Ta’deel describes the narrator in his righteousness and accurateness with what is required for the acceptance of his Hadith. The purpose of this science of Hadith is to keep Islamic teachings safe. Musnad is the type of collection of Hadith compiled under the names of the companions to whom the ahadith were traced. Imam Abu Hanifa, had got a great status in Sciences of Hadith as he got in Islamic jurisprudence. His narrations have been compiled by his pupils and companions in many books. Some people raise questions on the status of narrators of this book (Musnad Imam Abi Hanifa), that its narrators are Majrooh and Dha’eef. In this article a critical analysis of the narrators of Musnad Imam Abi Hanifa has taken in the light of Ilm al-Jarh Wa al-t’adeel and discredited the Majrooh narrators, Which are very less in number.
