Comunicazione politica, cittadinanza e social network
Abstract
The Internet has changed political communication, creating new dynamics, of a different nature than the traditional mainstream. Through the web channels, politicians today are free from any form of mediation and in full autonomy they can create opportunities to listen and interact with their constituents. Communication has had to adapt to new logic of interactive and insurgent politics which, moving from the bottom, aims to favor social change and to condition established power. In a short time, digital platforms such as Facebook and Twitter have established themselves as the main communication tool for policymakers globally. And, today, the use of these channels of social interaction is considered a fact for anyone who applies, or has already been elected and holds an institutional office. We have seen this with the current health emergency situation, which has brought attention to the need for new rules for the digital society.
