The first approach to biostatistics: classification of variables

Abstract

The variable is a characteristic or property of the object of study. The variable can take different values. The variables can be classified in different ways according to the information contained, therefore it is the way that determining how are summarized. This article illustrates the variable´s definition and its classification as basic tools for clinical research.
