Development of an automated wastewater sampling method using an automatic portable robotic sampler

Abstract

For the purposes of this study, an automated wastewater sampling method hasbeen developed and validated in order to optimize the sampling procedure, in-cluding constant monitoring of pH and temperature.This validation was undertaken by comparison with an accredited and validatedmanual method. Samples were taken simultaneously with the Teledyne Isco 6712 and manually pH and temperature were monitored in both an automatedand manual manner.Based on the obtained results, this study concludes that the automated methoddeveloped satisfies the established validation criteria, optimizing on this waythe sampling procedure and ensuring the reliability of the results.
