People and Vehicle Tracking — Big Brother Looking after You

Abstract

This article explores the application of computational (or machine) vision to people and vehicle tracking. A major aim of the research is behaviour understanding and prediction. A survey of requirements, problems and some recent research in the area is given and future directions discussed.
