The magnificent Quart Gate in Valencia, built in a combination of ashlar fabric and curved lime mortar adobe, is one of the old entrances into the walled medieval city still standing today. The article describes the complete investigation process from the historical study and the first restoration works performed in the past to the diagnosis and establishment of working criteria, as well as a detailed report of the cleaning and consolidation of the fabrics, without forgetting the polemic rendering at the back of the gate, in contrast with the old masonry.
