Aiming at the application scenario of high voltage transmission rate in distributed power generation systems, this paper proposes a novel high-boost DC-DC converter. The overall design of the converter combines the improved secondary active switching inductor with the coupled inductor. Adoption of staggered conduction, which in turn reduces input current ripple. The voltage gain is further improved by integrating the coupled inductor voltage doubling unit. The passive clamp circuit is used to absorb and utilize the leakage energy of the coupled inductor, which greatly reduces the voltage spike of the switch. In this paper, the working principle and steady-state performance of the converter are analyzed in detail, and the superiority of the proposed converter is proved by the performance comparison between the converters. Finally, a 200W experimental prototype was built for verification, which used common components and measured a maximum efficiency of 92.2%. The experimental results verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the feasibility of the proposed converter topology.
