Institute of the Presidency and Librarianship: Peculiarities of Functioning and Interaction
Abstract
The article highlights the issues of global informatization of society in modern conditions, which leads to the formation of a new information and communication space and a new culture. After all, the rapid development of science and technology has a significant impact on the changing public needs, so libraries, in order to with-stand the transition period and confidently enter the information environment, are looking for new forms and methods in visitors/readers services, opportunities to present humanity cultural heritage to the public. In the global world, there is a growing need for databases (sources) of meaningful and the latest information and communication technology systems that store, process, transmit and broadcast information. There-fore, a characteristic feature of library activity is its dynamics associated with changes in information resources and technologies. In such conditions - the rapid development of the information society and its informatization, the role of the libraries themselves is also increasing. Libraries also provide information support for state authorities in various areas: culture, science, education. Therefore, in many world countries, presidential libraries, museums, and foundations are organized, and they are engaged both in preserving the documentary heritage of the head of state and in promoting its research and popularization. Therefore, these libraries occupy an important place in the structure of research and information communications, because it is a path that ensures the transfer and transformation of information in the process of scientific and information activities.
