Three-dimensional ordered mesoporous Sn-KIT-6 catalyst for oxidative desulfurization
Abstract
Three-dimensional ordered Sn-KIT-6 mesoporous silica materials are prepared by one-step hydrothermal synthesis method. Highly ordered pore structures of KIT-6 were maintained after the addition of SnO2, and SnO2 was highly dispersed in the KIT-6 framework. The desulfurization rate of Sn-KIT-6 achieved 99.7% under the optimal reaction conditions. SnO2 was proposed as the catalytic site for the oxidative desulfurization. The excellent catalytic performance was attributed to the high dispersion of SnO2 in KIT-6. The desulfurization rate of Sn-KIT-6 reduced to 81% after 6 recycles, indicating SnO2 may run off in the oxidative desulfurization process.
