Diverticula of the jejunum is a rare but real disease with various manifestations. The diagnosis is often missed due to a lack of awareness, leading to delays and added complications, and consequently increased morbidity and mortality. Management remains controversial, ranging from a conservative approach that recommends rest, analgesics with close monitoring even for mildly complicated cases, to an aggressive approach justified by the increased risk of complications. We report the case of a 40- year-old-woman with no significant medical history who presented with recurrent left abdominal pain. A CT-scan revealed multiple jejunal diverticula, some of which were inflamed, leading to a final diagnosis of jejunal diverticulitis. This case discusses the clinical presentation, complications, diagnosis and management of this condition.
