This research aimed to analyze the vocational maturity as a determining factor in academic performance of students in the third semester of Medicine ADI method. This was based on the positivist epistemological approach, in the form of correlational descriptive research. The sample consisted of 80 ADI Medicine students from the third semester. As an instrument, Busot’s vocational maturity inventory was used which consisted of 60 questions that analyzed vocational maturity through planning, exploration, information, decision making and realistic guidance dimensions. Academic performance was operationalized through academic achievement obtained by students in the period II-2014 in different subjects. The results showed that there is a high correlation between vocational maturity variable and academic achievement variable which accounts for the developmental age of students in the study. The implementation of workshops to strengthen self-knowledge through recognition of skills, qualities and interests, to consolidate vocational behaviors that lead to the achievement of goals for pursuing a profession that meets the expectations in the workplace and in the quality of life in the future is recommended.
