Abstract

The review is devoted to the content of the collective monograph written by the staff of the Department of the Russian People of the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology named after N.N. Miklukho-Maklay of the Russian Academy of Sciences. This paper examines various aspects of Soviet traditionalism, which include: "The phenomenon of Soviet traditionalism": believing communists in Soviet times; the influence of the Soviet system on hierarchs and clergy in the 1960s - 1980s; Eurasianism as an idea and ideology", "Peculiarities of the Religious life of Russians in Soviet and post-Soviet times": categories of Orthodox anthology and the mystical world of Christianity in the worldview and behavior of Russians of the XIX-XXI centuries; factors of preservation and functioning of Orthodox culture in ceremonial and festive life; parish priesthood: traditional practices and the search for new ways of service (XX-XXI centuries)", "The customary law of the Russian village in the XX-the beginning of the XXI century.", "Soviet catering and folk tradition": changes in the food of the Russian people in the light of new political and economic attitudes; Russian Russian people's nutrition during the Great Patriotic War; nutrition of the Russian people during the restoration of the national economy", "Individual groups in Soviet society": old people, widows, beggars." There is no doubt that the content of the peer-reviewed collective monograph will play an important role in the study of Russian traditions in the XX century.
