Abstract
Possibilities of ovulation control in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome on the background of therapy Saprykina L.V., Gulshin V.A. Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Moscow Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrinopathy among women of reproductive age. Adverse reproductive outcomes include anovulatory infertility, and possible development of hormone-dependent endometrial cancer. There are many sudies confirming that PCOS is a genetic disease. The main therapeutic approach is lifestyle modification such as diet and physical activity. In case of planning the pregnancy, ovulation recovery is necessary. Many patients of reproductive age, especially those with PCOS in case of drug-induced ovulation, interested in pregnancy, usually monitor the ovulation. However, many women, including those with PCOS, have poor fertility knowledge and failed to identify the fertile window. The methods applied are different in ease of use and accuracy. There are no defined international standards for expressing the performance of home-based ovoluation tests, or any pre-defined accuracy standard requirements. The patients more correctly read the results of ovulation digital tests. It has been found, that when women are trying to conceive, the access to high-quality information, including the use of digital tests, can help them to solve some issues and uncertainties.
