Impact of Social Support and the Quality of Work Life on Staff’s Psychological Empowerment of Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare in Kerman
Abstract
This research aimed to study the effect of social support and quality of work life on the mental empowerment of staff in Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare in Kerman. For data collection, library and field study method were both employed, So that in the library method with studying accurate and updated resources, and in the field study method with referring directly to studied population, questionnaires were distributed among the subjects and the data were collected and analyzed. The population consisted of all employees in the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare in Kerman. A data collection tool in this study was a standard questionnaire. To check the reliability, Cronbach’s alpha coefficients were used. Based on the purpose of the study a descriptive –correlational research method was used. The model has been studied using structural equation modeling and lisrel software. The findings showed that social support had significant positive influence on quality of work life and psychological empowerment of the employees. Also, social support through the mediating role of quality of working life had a significant positive effect on their mental empowerment.
