A case report: Para-tracheal aerocyst after tracheostomy

Abstract

An 8-year-old boy presented with a cervical bounded cyst that developed following tracheostomy. Through a comprehensive physical and radiographic examination, the condition was diagnosed as para-tracheal aerocyst. The cyst was managed by performing primary closure, and at the 1-year follow-up, the prognosis was satisfactory.
