Archeological Hiatuses Found in the Chamber B of the Karain Cave
Abstract
The most important studies in archeology are those that have been carried out to examine the sequential characteristics. It is possible to determine the continuity and presence of the cultural facts in the archeological sites by virtue of such studies. In this study, the archeological sequence in the Chamber B of the Karain Cave has been evaluated and the gaps in the archaeological layers called “hiatus” were addressed. This subject, which is not important only for Karain but also for the entire region, was addressed also in the regional sense based on the existing sample. The possible causes of the archeological gaps were explained by considering the various possibilities. The cultural layers absent in the Chamber B Sequence and the possible causes for this have been set forth and the subject has been concretized.
