Analysis of atmospheric moisture in Belgrade, Yugoslavia

Abstract

Records of monthly averaged water vapour pressure and relative humidity in Belgrade area were analysed on a temporal basis with respect to long-term trends. It results that vapour pressure is generally unchanged over the 1925-1991 period, while relative humidities dropped since 1970. The examination of urban heat island influences on relative humidity showed a useful connection. Also the modified Oke's formula can be used to calculate the maximum value of mean monthly differences in relative humidity between urban and rural stations.
