A certificação FSC em publicações científicas internacionais disponíveis na Science Direct e Scopus
Abstract
This article aims to present and analyze the characteristics of international scientific publications about the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certification. The literature review was carried out by consulting two differentiated databases, namely: Science Direct and Scopus. The search allowed the identification of 137 articles selected after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research identified the first publications on the subject in both databases in the year 2001. The magazine with the highest percentage of publications, 25% of the total number of articles, is the Forest Policy and Economics, classified at Qualis Capes as A1. The countries that lead the publications are the United States of America, Canada and Sweden with the predominance of objects of study located in Russia and Brazil. Among the subthemes most present in the analyzed publications, the benefits and challenges of FSC Certification stand out. The results of the review reveal the lack of Brazilian studies and the interest of foreign researchers in the subject, even using Brazilian cases as the object of study. In addition, the high ranking of the journals according to the Qualis Capes attests to the international excellence and relevance of the research on this topic. It is also noteworthy that FSC certification is a great ally in combating illegal deforestation and promoting sustainable forest management.
