Le pouvoir des représentations socioculturelles et symboliques dans la construction anthroponymique chez quelques parents de la ville de Bejaia

Abstract

The main objective of our article contribution is to examine the problem of the attribution of first names by some parents from the city of Bejaia. Our gaze takes into account the role that mental representations play in anthroponymic construction. This research work accounts for the anthropological and social dimension updated in the choice of first names. The adopted analysis gave us the possibility of going beyond the act of naming to arrive at the understanding of the social configurations and the socio-cultural and symbolic constructions among certain Algerian families.
