The Tunisian High Steppe region is well known for its funerary monuments, which are generally in a very good state of preservation including the famous examples of the mausoleum of Flauii at Cillium, of Postumia Matronilla at Henchir Ez-Zaâtli and the tetrastyle mausoleum Ammaedara. Other mausolea of the same type are in general still poorly documented. This article concerns one of these, the mausoleum of Henchir Magdoudech, located between the ancient cities of Cillium and Thelepte. The study of the components of this monument, of its plan and especially of its architectural decoration allows us to classify it among the “temple mausoleum” group and to date it to the beginning of the 3rd century A.D.
