emotional balance and communication patterns inFamily: A comparative study between families with and without disability students
Abstract
Background and aim: Families with disabled children experience social isolation and mental health problems in fullest And vulnerable towards social - behavioral and emotional problems, accordingly The purpose of the this study comparison the emotional balance and communication patterns in families with disabilities children and families with normal children. Methods: this study Is causal- comparative and the population of study Included all families with physical – Motore disabled children and families with normal children in 2016 in tehran that by Purposive sampling method 150 families (75 families with physical – Motore disabled children and 75 families whit normal children) were selected as sample. Results: The results of multivariate analysis of variance to comparison emotional balance and communication patterns in families with disabilities children and families with normal children showed that families with disabilities children have lower emotional balance Compared with families with normal children. As well as families with disabilities children in mutual constructive communication reported Lower scores compared families with normal children, In contrast, in communication patterns mutual avoidance and demand / retiring reported more scores in compared families with normal children. Conclusion: According to the results, it can be said that families with disabilities children in compared families with normal children have lower emotional balance and they use more communication patterns mutual avoidance and demand / retiring in their relationships.
