Study the geometric shape-similarity of the projection and the characteristics of the cutting edges of the grains synthetic diamond grinding powders

The analytical processing of a large array of experimental static strength data and morphometric characteristics of the standard of synthetic diamond grinding powders has been performed. The relationship between the number and average value of the corners of the grain cutting edge sharpening and the indexes of their projection shape-similarity with the static strength and granularity was analyzed. The trends and the degree of variation of these characteristics in a wide range of their standard grades and granularities are determined. An empirical mathematical model for the relationship between the static strength of synthetic diamond grinding powders with the highest index of their projection shape-similarity and the morphometric characteristics was obtained. A review of publications on this topic has confirmed the originality of such studies. The applied significance of the research results was formulated.
