The article is aimed at complex researching of modern institutional forms of the State regulation of innovative development. A scientific search of innovative solutions and mechanisms for innovative development which would provide institutional status of the State is carried out. It is identified that in the conditions of the growing social-institutional gaps there arose a question about activization of innovations which should correspond to the purposeful transition of Ukraine to the European way of development. Mechanisms for implementation of innovative development in Ukraine are analyzed, possibilities of application of modern institutional forms of the State regulation of economy are considered. It is proved that the main obstacle to resumption of innovative activity and realization of potential of innovative economic development is absence of a systemic approach, which should be based on complex combination of the institutional mechanisms defining current and strategic prospects of development of innovative activity and usage of its results for the purpose of inclusive growth of Ukraine. The author defines the instruments of the State’s influence on technological development together with the problems which the country should solve for preservation and development of national identity as a basis of its subjectivity. The necessity of introduction of purposeful measures of economic power concerning provision of a new stage in development of economy of Ukraine which should be based on a population of creative ideas of innovative-modernized development is substantiated. Prospect for further researches in this direction is substantiation of questions with regard to definition of problems of innovative development as a factor of demand for economic power of the State.
