Abstract: This article explores a topic deeply woven into Algeria's social fabric: the movement of migrants throughout Algerian cities across history. With a particular focus on the modern period, this study examines the city of Algiers as a destination for these migrants. The historical significance of this phenomenon has sparked considerable interest from modern and contemporary historical writings, making it a topic of ongoing discussion.Focusing on the city of Algiers, this research investigates the historical significance of migration. The enduring interest in this topic from modern and contemporary historians stems from its profound impact on Algerian society. Driven by various historical, political, social, and economic factors, diverse ethnic and religious minority groups, including Turks, Alagi, Andalusians, and Jews, migrated to Algerian cities, particularly Algiers. These groups formed a significant social fabric within Algerian society and significantly influenced the local community.
