As a green technology, magnetized water (MW) is widely used in the mixing of cement-based materials to improve the performance of the mixture. In the current study, regular tap water (RW) and cement grout are magnetized by lab-built magnetization device. Cement grout samples with water-cement ratios (w/c) of 0.5 and 1.0 were prepared with MW under different magnetization conditions. The stabilities of the cement grouts mixed with RW and MW are measured. The results show that MW has a positive effect on the stability of cement grout. Under different magnetization conditions, the ranges of stability improvement ratios of cement grouts with w/c = 0.5 and 1.0 are 5~67.31% and 0.58~24.16%, respectively. The effects of different magnetization conditions on the stability of cement grout mixed with MW are studied by multiple analysis of variance (MANOVA). The interactions between of magnetization conditions (magnetic induction intensity B, cycle times n, flow speed v) have a great impact on the stability of cement grout and cannot be ignored in the application of magnetized water. A novel attempt was made to magnetize fresh cement grout mixed with RW by a magnetic field, and the results indicate that direct magnetization has no obvious effect on the stability of cement grout.
