Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease characterized by elevated blood glucose levels due to impairment of insulin secretion, insulin work or both. Seed chinese petai (Leucaena leucochepala) is believed to be a community of medicinal plants capable of treating DM. This study aims to determine whether the chrysanthemum ethanol extract of china can lower blood glucose levels of mice and get the optimal dose of chrysanthemum seed ethanol extract that can be used to lower blood glucose levels of glucose-induced white glucose (Mus musculus). The subjects of the study were male white mouse 25 divided into 5 groups, consisting of group 1 given metformin 90mg / kgBW, group 2, 3, 4 given chrysanthemum seed extract with dose 125mg / kgBW, 250mg / kgBW and 500mg / KgBW and group of 5 given aquadest 0,5ml / 20gramBW. Whole group induced glucose with dose 2gr / kgBW causing male white mouse in hyperglycemic state. Blood glucose examination at minute 0, 15, 45 and 60. The results showed that the group given ethanol extract seed chinese petai with dose of 500mg/kgBW can decrease the blood glucose level of male white mouse significantly. The significance value in the GLM test obtained was 0.001 (P <0.05) with a mean glucose level of 114.120mg/dL. It shows that the ethanol extract seed chinese petai a can lower blood glucose level.
