Housing is one of the essential human needs. Pollution of environmental elements such as air can lead to many health problems. For example: pollutants present in the indoor air in the home can cause various disease phenomena, one of which is "sick building syndrome". This research discusses sick buildings, and it is that 70% of its users feel discomfort and disease, which is reflected in their productivity and activities. The theoretical side dealt with the concept of the environment, environmentally diseased buildings, symptoms of building disease syndrome, and sustainability in interior design by addressing environmentally friendly materials and their characteristics. The urgent need for sustainable interior design, which establishes an internal environment model that meets the requirements of comfort, and increases the positive exchange between the building and the environment, appears here. Hence the problem of the research in the lack of awareness in the use of sustainability to solve the phenomenon of sick residential buildings syndrome and the failure to use environmentally compatible materials to remedy this phenomenon, and the objectives of the research lie in awareness of the importance of sustainable interior design in environmentally satisfactory buildings And its positive impact on the human being to obtain a design that achieves continuous efficiency through the materials used and urges designers and users on the importance of recycling and employing environmental materials in interior design, and the importance of research lies in highlighting the importance of positive sustainable interior design to treat the phenomenon of sick residential buildings syndrome and to shed light On the use of environmentally compatible materials that are compatible with R. Up to the age in the field of interior design, the research assumes that the use of sustainable interior design helps to create an administration that depends on the efficient use of environmental resources in a sustainable manner that aims to reduce negative impacts on the environment through efficient use of resources and awareness of the customer of their positive impact on him, and the research followed an inductive approach. .
