Narrow-body Directional Crawler Drilling Rig Used in Coal Mine

Abstract

For the problems that existing directional drilling rig with a large width could not drill crossing belt borehole in conventional roadway and could not use in the drilling-excavating alternately construction, a smaller crawler directional drill rig with width only 0.95 meter is developed. The paper introduces the research on miniaturized tracked directional drill rig platform and its components. The characteristics and functions of the hydraulic system are summarized and analyzed. The experiment to detect collapse column in Dayang Coal Mine proves that the new rig takes up little space when it works. Also it has the advantages of accurate detection, high degree of automation and flexibility. This new rig is suitable for drilling borehole in conventional roadway.
