Establishment of TUSMi005-A, an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line from a 32-year old Chinese Han patient with Bipolar Disorder (BD)
Abstract
A 32-year old Bipolar Disorder (BD) male patient donated his Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC). The non-integrating episomal vector system used to reprogram PBMCs with the human OKSM transcription factors. The pluripotency of transgene-free iPSCs was confirmed by immunocytochemistry for pluripotency markers and by the ability of the iPSCs to differentiate spontaneously into 3 germ layers in vitro. In addition, the iPSC line displayed a normal karyotype. Our model might offer a good platform to further study the pathological mechanisms, to identify early biomarkers, and also for drug testing studies in BD.Resource tableUnlabelled TableUnique stem cell line identifierTUSMi005-AAlternative name(s) of stem cell lineN/AInstitutionTongji University School of Medicine, Shanghai, Peoples R ChinaContact information of distributorYing Wang, [email protected] of cell lineiPSCOriginHumanAdditional origin infoAge: 32Sex: maleEthnicity: Chinese HanCell sourcePeripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs)ClonalityClonalMethod of reprogrammingTransgene free, Episomal plasmidsGenetic modificationNOType of modificationN/AAssociated diseaseBipolar Disorder (BD)Gene/locusSLC1A3/chr 5p13.2: 36679820, rs117588697 A-G,MAPT/chr 17q21.31:44073818, rs577501443 G-A,SIRT1/chr 10q21.3: 67864422, rs12415800 G-AMethod of modificationN/AName of transgene or resistanceN/AInducible/constitutive systemN/ADate archived/stock date08th July,2018Cell line repository/bankhPSCreg, https://hpscreg.eu/user/cellline/edit/TUSMi005-AEthical approvalParticipants informed consent obtained/Ethics Review Board-competent authority approval obtained (EC.
