The interaction of the volunteer and the elderly in the process of providing institutional social care

Abstract

The article presents the features of interaction between a volunteer and an elderly person in the process of providing institutional social assistance. The theoretical aspects of an elderly person in an institution and the possibilities of interaction between a volunteer and an elderly person in institutional care are considered. 3 volunteers and 7 elderly persons were interviewed. Challenges and directions for improvement of the interaction of volunteers with the elderly are revealed.
