Abstract
In our school-experiment we try to find out that the level of anxiety can be reduced by cooperative learning techniques. Our research was conducted in Segítő Mária Catholic Secondary School in Miercurea-Ciuc with participation of 16-17 year old pupils. We worked in the control group using traditional methods, in the experimental group we used cooperative learning techniques at the biology classes. Our results suggest that, cooperative learning methods are more efficient than traditional frontal teaching methods in reducing the level of anxiety. Using of cooperative learning techniques create a good working atmosphere, where the pupils are motivated, are active players and the experience of co-learning makes them more relaxed.
