Medizinhistorische Bestände der Universitätsbibliothek der Medizinischen Universität Wien. Virtuelle Bibliotheken an der Zweigbibliothek für Geschichte der Medizin: Eine Spurensuche

Abstract

The article presents on the basis of five case examples the project “Virtual Libraries” of the Branch Library for Medical History of the University Library of the Medical University of Vienna. The project’s target is to reconstruct book collections – in regard to origin, previous owner and provenance – which had been incorporated into the stacks of the library of the Josephinum during the last 200 years. Its purpose is to indicate these books as virtual book collections in the catalogue of the University Library of the Medical University of Vienna in order to provide specific research.
