During the Golden Age, the hypertextual relationship between the imitations and continuations of La Celestina and its model can be described in architextual terms. On the other hand, in contemporary times, the celestinesque imaginary has become even more complex because its transmedia dimension. This paper will analyze the novelistic modalities of contemporary celestinesque rewritings (1990-2023) with the concept of seriality: each text with a celestinesque theme produced and read today mobilizes character logics, as well as paratextual, intertextual and metafictional devices that create a true celestinesque reading pact, based on a particular encyclopedia of the reader. After a panoramic examination of the practices of seriality evidenced in the rewritings of the Tragicomedia de Calisto y Melibea published since 1990, this study will examine how these practices are articulated in the novel La mujer de la escalera (2018) by Pedro González Moreno.
