The essential idea in this article focuses the fact that the teaching of languages has as the leading objective the development of communicative, interactive and sociocultural competence, through which it contributes in the students to the confirmation of the Latin American culture, identity and unity, if viewed from and for the Latin American context. This does not leave out, absolutely, the teaching from other cultures. The method of documental analysis has led to suggest the Interactive Didactics as the methodological background, experimented by the authors for years. This implies task-based learning, cooperative, reflective and interactive, among other resources. In this context, emphasis is made on the need that the content reflects the culture of Latin America in its broader sense, a fact that is frequently unknown by the students, while the elite culture from the development countries whose language they learn is focused.
